Calamari Marinara Recipe




Serve this delicious Calamari Marinara (squid) over your favorite pasta. Add a fresh salad and breadsticks for a satifying seafood meal.

Calamari Marinara Recipe

Ingredients:
2.5 lb Squid, cleaned and cut into rings
1/4 cup olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 small onion, diced
1 can crushed tomatoes
1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
2 Tbsp fresh basil, chopped
1 small can sliced black olives
1 Tbsp pine nuts
1/2 cup dry white wine
salt and pepper to taste

Cooking Instructions:
In a large skillet, sauté garlic and onion in olive oil until browned. Add tomatoes, parsley, and basil. Simmer for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add olives and pine nuts. Cook for 10 minutes. Add squid rings and wine. Salt and pepper to taste. Simmer for 5 minutes and serve over your favorite pasta.
