Pecan pie is my husband's favorite dessert in the entire world. I usually make it for him around the Christmas holidays.
A pecan pie baking in the oven smells the up the kitchen nicely and makes him anticipate the first slice of pie even more.
Of course, I need to make several pecan pies, as I know that one of them is all his!
Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter OR margarine
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup light corn syrup
3 eggs - beaten
1 cup chopped pecans
9" unbaked pie shell
Baking Instructions:
Melt butter, then stir in sugar and corn syrup until sugar dissolves. Stir in eggs, then pecans.
Pour pecan mixture into pie shell and bake in a 350 degree oven for 1 hour.
Yields: 6-8 servings
