Try this crossiant french toast for a twist on a family favorite breakfast meal.
It tastes even better because it's made with crossiants and served with fresh berries.
Ingredients:
1 dozen large crossiants
6 eggs
Milk
Ground cinnamon
2 tsp of vanilla extract
Non stick cooking spray
Powdered sugar
Fresh berries of choice
Maple syrup
Cooking Instructions:
Slice crossiants in half. Mix eggs, a splash of milk, bit of cinnamon, and vanilla in a bowl. Place crossiants on a cookie sheet and brush both sides with egg batter; do not over saturate. Saute crossiants in a skillet with butter (on low) for 2 to 3 minutes or till golden brown. Flip and cook the other side for 2-3 minutes. Remove crossiant toast and place on plate. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and fresh berries. Serve with maple syrup if desired.
