This Beer Cheese Spread is an appetizer that is sure to be a crowd pleaser at your next gathering.
Party spread is tangy and spicy and just plain delicious. Serve it with crackers, toast, chips or vegetables.
You will get the best results from this recipe if you refrigerate it overnight to enhance the flavors.
Ingredients:
1 lb. mild cheddar cheese
1 lb. sharp cheddar cheese
2 cloves garlic, minced
3 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp. seasoned salt
1 tsp. dry mustard
Dash hot pepper sauce
Dash garlic powder
12 ounces preferred Lager or beer, at room temperature
paprika
Cooking Instructions:
Shred cheddar cheeses. Combine with garlic; soften to room temperature. Add Worcestershire sauce, seasoned salt, mustard, hot pepper sauce, garlic powder, and enough beer to make a spreadable mixture. Sprinkle with paprika.
Yields: 8 cups (You can freeze this spread or cut the recipe in half.)
